The Celle chair from Herman Miller has been designed by Jerome Caruso to be a complete work chair solution.
The Herman Miller Celle chair has an intelligently pliable seat and back surfaces that know how to respond properly when you sitdown, work, and move. This innovation is called Cellular Suspension because the surface is composed of smallpads which are referred to as cells and are connected with springy loops.
Caruso likens the suspension’s effect to buoyancy. Water supports you as you float, forming and reforming as you move.

Herman Miller's Celle chair, was the "Mt. Everest of fun. At the beginning, I imagined a highly engineered, 'intelligent' surface that could be the ultimate in seating comfort. I envisioned hundreds of tiny 'cells'--each one consisting of a pad with spring-like loops that would both support and respond to different anatomical areas." And after years of development and experimentation, the Celle chair closely follows that original concept.
